A transfer case allows a vehicle to go from 2WD to 4WD or for AWD vehicles where there is no option to go to 2WD. This mechanical component distributes the torque to the front wheels to convert the vehicle to a 4wD mode. On an AWD it simply works all the time without the option to be turned off.
The transfer case pricing range is anywhere from a surprisingly low $65.00 for the Honda Pilot up to $275 for a 2004 Infiniti QX56. These things can range higher on newer vehicles.
Vehicle | Rebuilt/New | Recycled | Savings |

Be sure the case is not cracked and no mounting tabs/ears are broken. Verify that there are no leaks and the shaft spins freely.
Change the fluid before installing and any gaskets.
Maintain fluids according to your owners manual . Don’t shift your 2wd to 4wd when going 80mph down the highway.
